Thank you Barry for the article in The Daily Courier on Frankie and his "Six Degrees of Separation." What an insightful and in-depth piece. We hope those attending the film "Karen Carpenter: Starving for Perfection" enjoy what Author/Producer Randy L. Schmidt, Director Randy Martin, and Executive Producer/Founder of AMS Pictures Andy Streitfeld have brought to the screen. We wish everyone at the Prescott Film Festival the very best.
So wonderful to be part of such an extremely well done documentary. Kudos to AMS Pictures! Please follow its progress on karencarpenterdoc.com
It was in 2019 that author Randy L. Schmidt contacted Frankie asking him to be part of an upcoming documentary on Karen entitled Karen Carpenter: Starving for Perfection. In October 2019, a film crew from AMS Pictures, an Emmy award-winning production company, based in Dallas, TX, came to Sedona and shot footage of Frankie while in the studio recording the A Sedona Christmas CD which features Frankie’s wife, singer Rosemary Chavez. Once again, interviewer Randy L. Schmidt captured Frankie’s association with and influence on the drumming of Karen Carpenter.
